The Glendale Plaza Parking Structure is an eight level structure containing approximately 1,300 parking stalls. It has three subterranean levels with the main points of ingress and egress at street level for automobiles and pedestrians. The structure is designed as required parking for a 500,000 square foot office tower in the prominent downtown Glendale central business district. The framing system for the structure made use of a modified long span design to reduce the costly excavation required to do the subterranean portion of the structure and to stay with in the height limits imposed by the zoning requirements.
